Love the Boot Week is April 5-13! Be a part of Louisiana’s largest statewide litter removal and beautification effort, and help bring attention to our state’s litter problem. In addition to litter removal, volunteers focus on community beautification, planting trees and plants, and refurbishing community gardens.
Join Love the Boot Week efforts in April to bring awareness to our state’s litter problem and promote litter prevention.
Many communities are participating in celebration of Earth Day with Clean Up Day activities where you can pick up cleaning supplies to help pitch in. Participating in these community events are also a great way for teens to gain community service experience/volunteer hours that may be beneficial for club participation such as 4-H clubs and organizations. Be sure to reach out to the event organizers about signing a form or writing out a letter to verify volunteer hours.
How to Volunteer:
Register to volunteer at a Keep Louisiana Beautiful clean up event in a town near you at Keeplouisianabeautiful.org/love-the-boot/volunteer to ensure a free t-shirt for your participation. In the “Event Search” area, type in our city’s zip code and select the date that you and/or your team can commit to cleaning an area. But don’t forget, you and your group can commit to more than one Saturday!
